The film censorship board is using military-like tactics to extort money from Kannywood for registry renewals – Ty Shaba.

Actor and film producer in the Kannywood industry, TY Shaban said it is not right to keep accepting money from Kannywood people in the name of renewing the registration.
Shaba said that considering the economic situation in the country, it is not appropriate for the Kano State Film and Television Censorship to come up with a plan to control the industry by extorting money from them.
According to Shaba, the board should make some reforms and safeguards that will help the organizers and the directors as well as the heroes of the industry instead of going and taking money from them, the board is collecting for itself.
TY Shaban revealed this in a video he posted on his TikTok page.

We got the news that when we took this film, the amount had doubled, unlike the previous one, the amount was very high. By God, everyone knows the situation of the industry. The agency said.
I want to say that the things that should make the films here are not there now, what will bring about how to get businessmen who invest in continuing investing in reviving this industry, and which will be given to the producers of the films to return catch up with work.
I know a lot of producers and directors who have stopped making movies now. Or no profit.
