Kannywood members held a ceremony to congratulate King Ali Nuhu on his elevation to the position of president of all Nigerian film producers.

Members of the Kannywood film industry will host a reception today, Monday, to congratulate the newly appointed Director-General of the Nigerian Film Production Commission (NFC), actor Ali Nuhu. His appointment was made by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to Hajiya Hindatu Bashir, the chairman of the planning committee for the event and a former Kannywood actress, the gathering will take place at The Affluent Grand Hotel, located at 13 Titin Magaji Rumfa, Kano. The organization and rules for the ceremony are outlined as follows:

• Entry to the meeting hall is restricted to individuals holding a special ID card.
• There are two types of entry cards: a VIP card and a general card, which will honor guests and represent our culture.

The guidelines state, “It is essential for everyone to respect the entry card that has been issued to them. Ushers will be responsible for directing you to your assigned seating.” Hindatu Bashir emphasized that the event can accommodate only 1,000 attendees due to the meeting room’s capacity, so not everyone will receive an entry card.

If you are unable to attend, the organization encourages you to have someone else represent you. It is important to respect one another, as security personnel will not allow anyone without a card to enter.

“Only cards with an official ‘stamp’ and ‘signature’ will gain entry. If your card lacks these, please contact Mudassir Qasim immediately,” she stated. Each group will have designated representatives who will be provided with access cards to distribute among their members, so please ask your group leader to collect these cards on behalf of the group.

Furthermore, Hindatu Bashir noted, “With 1,000 invites confirmed for the meeting room, there will be a seat for everyone, and food will be served at the venue.” Attendees are reminded that moving around the meeting area is not permitted unless you are an official, usher, or part of the press.

The designated ‘officials’ and ‘ushers’ will be available to assist if needed. “The ushers will guide you to your seats, so please show them the same respect you expect in return. They are working hard to ensure a successful event,” she added.

Photography of the stage is limited, and taking pictures without permission from the subjects is not allowed. Adequate security will be present to uphold the health and dignity of all participants, and anyone who engages in inappropriate behavior will be removed from the venue.

“We are immensely grateful to everyone attending this gathering to congratulate our brother on his new title,” concluded Hindatu Bashir.
